NESA reduces pain, shortens morning stiffness and supports function in rheumatological conditions — through autonomic regulation and better microcirculation.
Inflammation that flares under stress
Like a defence system with an alarm set too loud. The vagus regulates inflammation (the cholinergic anti-inflammatory reflex); with low vagal tone the flare-ups ignite.
Self-assessment, not self-diagnosis — discuss with a professional.
Reduced pain and shorter morning stiffness — without extra medication.
Support for joint mobility and daily activity in chronic conditions.
Better sleep and lower autoimmune fatigue — key to quality of life.
NESA applies controlled low-intensity (0.1–1 mA) low-frequency (1–15 Hz) microcurrents through eight electrodes on the four limbs and one guide electrode. The signal reaches the autonomic nervous system and restores the balance between its sympathetic and parasympathetic branches.
In rheumatological disease this balance lowers nociception and sympathetic overactivity and improves microcirculation and sleep — factors that feed pain and fatigue.
A typical course for rheumatological complaints. Parameters are adapted individually by the treating specialist and combined with ongoing therapy.

Mechanism, indications, protocols and clinical data for implementing NESA in your practice.
Yes. NESA is a non-invasive, low-intensity method with no known systemic side effects. Sessions are conducted by a trained specialist.
No. NESA complements pharmacological and physical treatment by reducing pain and improving sleep — it does not replace primary therapy.
Many report less pain and better sleep after 4–6 sessions; the effect builds over the full course.
Pacemakers and other active implants, pregnancy and epilepsy require prior medical assessment. When in doubt, consult the treating physician.

Every protocol in this field combines the reference programmes P1–P9 — general homeostasis, body levels, ANS/CNS and targeted nerves — according to the clinical goal.
See programmes P1–P9 →Parameters are guides; the therapist adapts them to the patient.
NESA is not suitable for every patient and promises no cure.
Absolute contraindications (pacemaker, pregnancy, active implants) follow the device IFU.
